Retired. Not Done.
FRANK: Apparently somebody decided retirement meant we were finished.
That's adorable.
Retired. Not Done. is for anybody who's discovered that getting older doesn't mean surrendering your personality at the door and spending the rest of your life discussing prescription plans.
We've still got places to go. Things to do. People to annoy.
Especially people to annoy.
This one looks at retirement from the other side of the aisle—particularly through the eyes of women who've spent decades working, raising families, solving everybody else's problems and generally keeping civilization from falling apart while the rest of us were looking for the remote.
Then retirement arrives and somebody expects them to quietly disappear?
Good luck with that.
These are observations about life after the career, after the kids supposedly become independent, and after you've finally earned the right to decide what you want to do next.
Some of it is funny because it's ridiculous.
Some is funny because it's true.
And some will make you laugh before realizing:
Oh, crap. I do that.
Retired?
Fine.
Done? Not even close.
