BRENDAN CALLAWAY

The Lawyer Who Changed Sides — Then Found His Own

Brendan Callaway is an affable, capable and straightforward attorney in his late 40s who specializes in real-estate acquisitions. A husband, dedicated father and loyal team player, Brendan began his career after law school at Mason Tucker's firm.

And that's where things became complicated.

One of Brendan's early assignments put him on the opposite side of the Miracle Ladies, representing Tucker's interests against them. He was doing what young attorneys are expected to do: representing his client and building his career. But Brendan eventually discovered there was a difference between being good at your job and deciding what you wanted that job to stand for.

Over time, Brendan stopped simply being Mason Tucker's lawyer and became his own man.

Today, he uses the same legal skills and real-estate knowledge very differently—often standing with people who don't have the money, power or corporate machinery available to the people they're fighting.

That evolution brings him into the Seniority orbit, where he works alongside Herschel and Frank in the effort to save 7,800 Harmony Ice Cream jobs nationwide.

Brendan knows how the powerful play the game.

That's precisely what makes him valuable when he decides to play for the other side.
